~ Tying up ~
~ Leading a pony ~
~ Older children may lunge ~
We aim to give reasons for the way
things are done.
Lunch is normally in an adapted stable,
sitting on bales. In the afternoon there are games and
quizzes related to what was learned in the morning. There
is a fun Handy Pony obstacle race and a small amount of
steady riding on a lead rein.
For children unfamilier with ponies
this provides an introduction and for those who having
riding lessons it ensures they have the background information.
The quizzes and games are fun for the children and provide
feedback, helping us to tailor our presentation for continued
improvement.

lunch, long trousers, stout shoes or wellies. Other outdoor
